Putting the engine back in the frame...
« on: March 13, 2022, 03:59:22 PM »
Hello Guys,
After 260 000 km with my trusty R65, I decided to renew the engine fully. Tomorrow, the engine case, the crank and front bearing holder go to a reputable person to put new bearings in. So far so good. I expect them back a few days after. And, then, I'll put a new timing chain, new oil pump, jugs, pistons and a set of heads.
After this I'll need to put the engine and gearbox in the frame. The swing arm is in place and the bike on its wheels.
So I'm seeking for advice here as to what is the best method to do this...
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Have a nice riding day :
