After 25 years on an R100/GS I grew shorter and it didn't. And as I'm now approaching my dotage (77 years and counting), I've swapped the GS for an R65. I can now put both feet on the ground! I don't know the history of this bike. The vin is for a 1984 R65LS, but it only has one front disc brake, not two, although the wheels are right. As you can tell, it has been modified. I'm not happy with the low handle bar and under bar mirrors, so I'm switching to R1200/GS bars with R100/GS mirrors. I've attached pics of my old GS and the R65 as it looked when I bought it.

Hiya, looks good. I think they are the standard bars. I have the RT ones which are a bit higher. I'm 6'4" and also fit my R65 perfectly

Have you tried moving the mirrors to the top of the perch?
