Hi Skippy, maybe because we don't know what to say. It sounds difficult.

Balance issues and motorcycles usually don't mix very well .
I have inner ear issues/balance problems I stay off of them until it goes away .

Without trying to make light of this, my brief encounter with vestibular problems was uncontrollable eye flicking left to right and no balance. Covid started that. For me it only lasted a week and subsided. I had it again a lot milder combined with another winter bug recently.

I found the car more difficult than the bike afterwards. More G's side to side, where the bike tends to lean than out.

From Skippy's post this sounds a bit more serious to me than an infection or nuisance that comes and goes. I hope I have that wrong.

It seems to be meniere's disease but i don't want a diagnosis as it can effect my license.

Bloody hell!

Sorry to hear that mate. I sincerely hope that you recover and can resume motorcycling. A friend in my local restorer's club has that problem, he sold his Solo bikes and bought a  Can Am Spyder, rides it like a demon too - he is 91.

Maybe you could find a nice sidecar, and another scoot to go along with it!

RE balance problems.

I got smitten again after a bout of 'flu' which absolutely felt like covid, but didn't test positive. It's been about 4 weeks and I've gone from being knocked sideways with eyes flicking uncontrollably again to mildly drunk for a second or two when getting out of bed. Initially, my speech was impaired, whistling in my ears, and was generally an unhappy bunny. Walking to the supermarket involved following the yellow lines in the car park and not looking up.

Thankfully it's nearly gone off. Any amount of alcohol being a bad mistake. BAAAD Mistake  >:(

I hope everyone else is OK. My wife has recovered from me falling onto her whilst yelling "oh shit!" when she was sound asleep in bed  ;D

Nice looking bike I would have been interested. Re balance issues have you been to the Dizzyness day clinic, part if ear and eye hospital, I took my dad there once, it worked a treat. Ps how much did your bike go for? Rob
