Recently I have been having issues with the carbs overflowing and getting a wet foot.
I tried mucking around with the floats but all I managed to achieve was the bike running out of puff/stalling when on a long climb or at speed, etc.
Finally I bit the bullet and bought some replacement floats.
When I weighed the old floats, they were considerable heavier than their replacements, one almost 3 times heavier.
Which accounts for why one would never shut off the float needle, unless set really low and thus not having enough reserve in the float bowel.
Just thought I would let you all know.
