Each Saturday, a goodly sized group of Two Wheeled Texans
http://www.twtex.com/? meets for breakfast at the Blue Hangar Cafe on board Northwest Regional Airport. Broken cloud, a 20-30 knot gusty breeze into Runway 17 and warm temps were pleasant... for motorcycling, anyway.
The field is about two miles NE from the Texas Motor Speedway complex and serves as a reliever airport for the massive invasion of aircraft arriving during race events. It is also home to a large number of restored historic aircraft plus a gaggle of homebuilt Experimental Category aircraft. I have flown in and out of this field... the runway is narrow.
In this environment, the al fresco dining patio at the Blue Hangar is a perfect airplane watchin' and eatin' spot. We graded quite a few landings this morning. Most got an
OK trap but a couple...
This was my first time to actually meet some of the folks on the forum and the bike turnout was, to me, pretty impressive in numbers and variety. Me riding the only vintage Airhead on the field made me feel good. Lots of new Euro-tech bikes and UJM sports lined up but the questions were all about the R65.
Monte

I got there early and scored a close-in parking spot. Blackie's third in the line.

This shot is about one-third of the way down the bike line.
