First ride of the year
« on: January 17, 2011, 04:42:06 AM »
Looks like we are due a dry spell this week so I put fresh fuel in the tank and it fired up pretty much on the button.  4 Deg C at 7.45 this morning and I remembered I don't much like riding in the dark especially when the headlight doesn't pick up the pot holes too well on a wet road. Still the very heavy rain over the weekend will have washed the salt away so that's a good thing and I'm hoping for dry roads on the way home.

It's feels good to be back after a 9 week lay off.

72'F-32=40
40+10%=44
44/2=22'C
keeps the grey cells in shape underneath the fur  ::)

Us furriners still use the Fahrenheit scale  but only in the summer cos we know 70 Deg F is warm and about as warm as it's going to get. We use Deg C in the winter cos we know 0 Deg C is freezing and mostly as cold as it gets which was at least true before global warming came along.

BTW did you know the German chap Fahrenheit defined 100 deg F by sticking a thermometer under his wife’s armpit. There’s scientific for you.
