Mick's Worldwide R65 Adventure
Bob_Roller:
You might want to check out a new entry on R65 registry, a rider named Mick MacMillan has a post on his riding adventures in South America. Puts the rest of us into a different catagory, almost has a line on the movie of a year ago the Motorcycle Diaries.

Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention, Bob!
(yeah, I moved your thread. NOTHING off-topic about this!)

You should appreciate this one in particular, Bob and Semper:
Happy to be back on the ground after achieving what I imagine to be something of a record for an R65 BMW - 570mph, without even turning a wheel, in the hold of a Jumbo jet.
Bob_Roller:
It's kind of amazing from a standpoint of the everyday mundane existence that the majority of us live, to just go out and experience things the rest of us can only dream of. A quote from the Discovery Channel : LIFE UNSCRIPTED!

The only way my R65 would achieve 570 mph, would be to drop it out of the Space Shuttle while in orbit!
