Fresh Paint, and time to sell
« on: September 23, 2012, 07:09:55 PM »
Hey all,
Just thought i would share some final pics of the bike all done.
I had it painted with Cardinal Aircraft paint - High gloss, polyeurethane black.

I did all the prep work and primer and a co-worker did the spray. (we work on airplanes).

I added the stripes myself using 3M 1080 matte white auto wrap. Valve covers and front engine cover is high-temp gloss paint (rattle can).

What do you think?
PS: Sale info over in the trading post.

Looking pretty sharp!
Something odd about your front turn signals though - they shouldn't be pointed upward like that.    The gloss black paint is very nice!

Thanks guys,
The front front turn signals sort of "ended up" that way when i had to rivet them in. I did it with the bike on the center stand (rear wheel up), and by the time i noticed the upward angle, I already riveted both sides  :P

I kind of like it though... I always end up with some quirk on my projects...sort of my style I guess :)

You have created a sharp looking bike bike. I would be reluctant to sell it after all your fine work. D2

Is that an aftermarket seat? If so, who was it from? I need a seat for my bike and the OEM seat didn't hold up as well as my son's 1982 Suzuki (his seat is fine, while mine has about 8 cracks)
