This is a true story......

that shows how stupid the Rich Balinese can be.
Last month, two fourteen year old balinese males were killed in a collission with a tree. They were driving a car owned by the parents of one of the kids.
The parents were in Korea on holiday when the accident happened.

Why was a fourteen year old doing driving his parents car? He did not like the car that his parents had bought him - It was a BMW Z3. Apparently there was nowhere to park it at school. His doting Dad had promised to get him a Ducati after returning from Korea..............!

I love natural selection - one less idiot to drive into me !

In the first Balibeemers link, there is also a story following about a 14 yo Australian boy arrested for posession of marijuana in Bali. He was there with his parents. Parental stupidity is as prevalent in Australia. The story goes on the mention that the Parents had negotiated a large sum from the Australian media. One hopes that that doesn't happen or (again) we've learned nothing. He's now home.

I avoid this sort of idiocy by VERY careful driving - also, my R65 has crash bars made of 41/40 stainless and being an ex French police bike, it has larger forks. My machine either goes over, or through the plastic scooters that they use here.

Regarding the "bali boy" who was done for possession of dope - YES, he did buy it, YES, he did smoke it and YES, he did go to a massage after consuming the controlled product.

When I was his age, I didn't know what dope was, I'd never heard of massage parlours - but I did have a 1954 BMW R 25/3!

Some kids just get a better upbringing I guess!
