Untouched Focke Wulf-190 fighter found in Russia

Hey All...thought you might find this article interesting. The pilots of FW-190s were ordered to take their high precision clocks upon crashing in order to prevent them from falling into the enemy's hands. The family of this plane's pilot still has the clock.

I should add this plane was discovered in 1990...I don't know if it was restored or where it is presently. Nontheless, it's still interesting.

The aircraft came to the US in 1991 and was restored by Gosshawk Aviation Restorations. Their website has no futher info on this aircraft, but I found a link with considerable info on it.

One has to wonder how he kept the clock from his captors!

That's what I was thinking, Lou.  I won't have my slaves work on my vehicles.
