Invasion of the VooDoo Hens
« on: August 30, 2009, 12:58:35 PM »
I started looking for Kentucky license plates...

Rolled into Tractor Supply this Sunday morning and parked next to another pick'em up truck. Neighbor's truck bed had a nylon mesh sack with three red hens in it; all squawking their heads off. Was pretty sure Ampy had something to do with it.

Moved my truck before an electronic crankshaft trigger crapped out.

I somehow inserted a comma that wasn't really there:
"...three hens,
all squawking,
their heads off..."
Now THAT reminds me of my childhood year in Haiti.

I understand, Burt. My grandmother could snap a chicken's head right off with a quick flick of her wrist. Running around like a chicken with his head cut off...   Monte

Ampy started it all, Lou. This time I'm the innocent victim.

The Kentucky chicken raisin' R65 rider went and named one of his hens after me. Said he did so because she is, "the oldest and the loudest." All I did was get his bike running right.

I'm kinda honored. [smiley=mad.gif]

I'd take it as a compliment, Monte - just as if some fella from Texas went and named his prize rodeo bull after me (nope, that isn't gonna happen anytime soon).

You gotta start at the smaller end of the animal spectrum and work up.  So today, it is chickens... perhaps next year it will be goats.   ;-)
