Salespeople who are only interested in the sale - don't give a stuff about trying to assist you in the purchase! ...Sheeeeeeeeet. I'm trying to give him money - but he just ain't interested.
Poor customer service isn't limited to your experience
Down Under; it's all but universal.
I have, on occasion, after being ignored, mislead, ripped off, etc by an unhelpful employee, written a letter (emails don't do it for me when I'm torqued off) to the business owner. I politely mention and stress that his rude employee is the
public face of his business. It's
his name that's on the door, not the schmuck's.
My greatest satisfaction, and proof the technique works, was in the sacking of a mechanic at my independent VW shop. Lad told me my concern about a job error he made was, "impossible to do any other way." This was witnessed by the service manager.
I returned home, fixed the poor work in all of twenty minutes, then wrote the letter. Next visit with my car, the owner apologized and said it wouldn't happen with this guy again. He be done gone.
Complain, to the right person, when you get crappy service. Be polite. Be friendly. Be firm.
I feel better already! So will you. Monte
