Remember the sequel to "Chicken Man"—"The Tooth Fairy?" It was quite edgy for the '60s. The hero's voice was acceptably masculine, but that was about as far as it went. ("Tooth Fairy" and "Chicken Man" were done by the same crew.
My favorites were the sequence of Saturday morning TV cartoon shows that were much too sophisticated for kids alone (though kids loved them, too). I was in college, and there was a meeting every Saturday morning for an hour or two to watch "Bullwinkle," "George of the Jungle," and so forth. My favorite was "Super Chicken"—in fact, I took as my personal motto a line from the lyrics of the theme song: "Ya knew the job was dangerous when ya took it."
