New User from San Diego

Actually, I was active on the board when it was, um, ran by Sloth.  At this time I has a 1979 R65 whcih has since been sold and I now have a 1987 R80 and a 1986 R80RT.  I am a big monolever enthusiast not that I have anything against the dual shock models, just my thing.

As I no longer own an R65, I hope I am not intruding here with the R80s.

I have a question which I will post in the technical area.  It concerns a cycle I am considering but (an 84 R80RT), but should be something the fine folks here can help me with.

We are a pretty friendly bunch - welcome back.   Maybe your next bike purchase should be an R65 ?   Some of us are foolish/crazy/obsessed enough to own multiple motorcycles, though none of us yet have as many airheads as Justin B does - you might be able to make a run for it and tie him - he is thinking of selling one of his R65s (an RT fairing on it , even !!!)

Welcome aboard, I think we have another member here from the San Diego area, goes by the name jvwilliams here, resides in Escondido, around the I-15 and CA 78 area.

You've got some great back roads there in southern California.

My favorites, are the ones that get you to Julian,Ca., and stop off for some apple pie at the Julian Pie Co. !

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!
