Not a bad looking Beemer at all!  Pretty clean!  But I wonder if the speedo is reading 46k kilometers or miles?

I'm sold on black for my next cow! Flat top bings, Snowflakes, and what looks like U.S. spec bars. Seat w/ strap and dual grabbers up front. A very nice r65! I couldn't ID the shocks but they look $$ and I'm curious about the front tyre (mine slipped a bit today). Only seems to be missing a mirror, fork reflectors and the shifter rubber. (did these have the rear side reflectors?) like the dash switch that fits and the mud flap! Gots to get me a mud flap!

European bike, kilometer speedo. Pretty good for a 78 -80 bike (think the R65 was available in Europe in 78?)

As a rule, Europe, or at least Germany got models 1 year prior to the first year in North America.

The R65 followed this rule.  I believe the R45 came out in '78, as well.
