Just to let you all know it's my birthday today.   Another year come and gone.   :-/   Oh, my age?  Hmmm.  Well, I'm a year younger than Sue from Canada!  

Unfortunately we didn't get the morning sunshine we were supposed to get.  It's already cloudy and cold out.  No day for a ride.  Maybe I'll just curl up with a good book.    I never get to do that anymore.  Let's see, now.  Which one shall it be.  I've got both of David Hough's books - Proficient Motorcycling and More Proficient Motorcycling - that I got for Christmas.  Those will get me ready for another year of safe riding!   8-)

Got to say that today was a perfect day here and for many it would be the first ride of the season.. another good day tomorrow. I've been out a bit already and tomorrow we ride 3.25 hours to meet our MI riding buddies for lunch in Grand Bend ON. So as long as it is warmish in the evening and morning hours all will be well. Both bikes are running well....I did lend LRB's battery to buddy David for he doesn't get his new one until tomorrow and we want to ride to lunch!

It turned out to be a very rainy day and I didn't do anything I thought I was going to do (Ed, you sent your rain down here!   ).  But it did end up being a good day anyway.  And I did curl up with my books and pretended I was out riding on my motorcycle, practicing what I was learning.    8-)

I'm getting too old for birthdays, and my trip to Hawaii was my big gift for the year.  But I did get one thing for the motorcycle - a pair of earplugs!    

I guess my biggest gift, though, is all your birthday wishes.  You are all the best!   [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]  May you all have a great year.

(PS - looking for an excuse to head west again.  I miss the mountains and passes, 100 mile valleys, being saluted by other BMW riders.  I had sooo much fun riding out west.  I miss it so.)
