Just wanted to say hello...  I just officially signed up as a member.  I've watched this site grow over this year and I believe last and love it.  I even posted a message as a guest and received some great tips.

I'm the proud owner of a 79' R65.  Hopefully the picture attached comes out.  The bike only has 18K miles on it and it runs awesome.  The previous owner must have slept w/ the bike to keep it in such great condition.  I work in DC and ride it to work about 2-3 times a week, depending on weather.  Love it!

I'm glad to finally sign up.  Thanks again for having this site available.

Happy New Year!

Glad to have you with us and your bike does look to be in excellent shape.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Feel free to drop in any time, participate  [smiley=argue.gif], kick back and watch  [smiley=lurker.gif], or ask any questions you may have.  If we don't know the answer we will at least make up something that sounds like we know what we're talking about!  [smiley=Oscar.gif]

Welcome Weshawk!

That is a very nice clean looking bike.  And only 18K miles?  Whew!  That's hardly anything for these bikes.   What a deal for you!

There is a lot of good information coming out of this forum, and I'm sure if you've been lurking you already know that.   Don't believe Justin.  He's one of them that has all that good info in his head.   [smiley=idea2.gif]

And, how are you so sure that I don't make it all up as I go along?  [smiley=mad.gif]  The amount I DON'T know far exceeds that which I do know, but I get lucky from time-to-time.   [smiley=shocked2.gif]

Welcome aborad, Weshawk! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Good looking R65, indeed!  You don't see that color very often, either!

Who knows, you may wind up sleeping with your R65, too!  (I think lots of us do!)    Some of us are just that passionate about their R65!

Looking forward to your posts and experiences you have with your bike!

Love the white paint!

Yours is only the 2nd R65 I've ever seen painted that color, but it definitely looks "right" on a clean bike.

Welcome!

That is pretty.  Your pofile says Maryland, so that can't be the white one I've seen here outside of Stayton, in a little town called Sublimity.  I don't know if it's an R65 but it sure looks like one.  I've never seen the owner.  First time I saw the bike the keys were in it....
