...I'm reminded how much I enjoy these motorcycles.

It's early afternoon here in North Texas on this historical "Day of Infamy" with temps in the low 70s with a CAVU sky. I've completed changing oil and filters on two autos and one truck. The shop has been tidied up. What better way to relax than to scan the sky for sneaky Zeros and take off for a ride.

With very few seriously bad weather days in what passes for winter, I don't pickle my bikes for a long winter's nap but have begun using StarTron as a fuel additive. One ounce to six gallons is the recommended dosage. I'm now forced to circulate the treated 10 percent ethanol gasoline through all the bikes fuel systems. Life is hard... Not.

My thoughts are with our English members as they deal with flooding and damage from their unseasonable, and unreasonable, rains. Stay safe, my friends.

I may take Gertie out to clear my head... the weather here has been unseasonable mild but once again Cockermouth has flooded out, A wonderful market town where I spent school holidays with my Aunt and Uncle.
Just west of the town there is the remains of an old bridge over the river which we used as a swimming platform, my Aunt bless her still lives there and is safe as she lives on a hill in Broughton.
After the last flood they spent £5 million on flood defences. !! back to the drawing board me thinks.
 My cousin lives in Keswick which has been badly hit too with several bridges washed out and others damaged making travel almost impossible.

The main street in Cockermouth, followed by Booths in Keswick where my cousin works....Then the Football stadium at Carlisle, one of the best stories to emerge from this is appropriate for this site... a Cow  [smiley=cowsleep.gif] was found wondering about on a Golf course munching the grass (in the rough hopefully !!) it had an ear tag and was traced to a farm 20 miles up stream where the bank and fencing to the field where it was located had been washed out.
Must have enjoyed a good swim, tough buggers these "Cows"
