What is an Ex Member?

Just noticed that some posts are from "ex-members". What's that mean? Members who have unlisted themselves?

I can try to explain by first defining what an expert is. If you break it down to two parts you get ex=former and spurt= a drip under pressure. So an expert is just a former drip under pressure.

By extension if you take ex-member you get ex=former and member=a certain (ahem) male anatomical feature you now have an ex-member as someone who is no longer acting like a *****.   :D

Seriously, it is just someone who has left the forum. The posts were made before they left.

Thanks Marc, I'm glad that they were not banned,  expelled nor excommunicated. But why would they leave this august gathering in the first place ?  Rhetorical ...

Generally, a person becomes an ex-member because they have sold, traded or crashed their R65, and don't see a need to continue participation. Still, they become ex-members of their own volition.

Although, conversely, there are members here who no longer have an R65, but enjoy the friendships made and camaraderie of the board and it's members.

And I've never talked to an R65 owner who doesn't hope to have another someday. I'm on my 3rd...

I don't want another one.  But I want to keep the one I have.

Edit:  unless I could find one of those R65GS they had in Europe, that might be cool.

There have only been two members banned since this board started up in 2009...  The others have went bye-bye for assorted reasons usually being purged for not logging on for years...
