No, it is not another R65. I went modern, with a new 2014.
I bought a BWM K1300S. A nice machine. I will be using it for long distance sport touring. It has a few things almost in common with the R65. Even the standard version has a low seat height, which is good for those of us that are slightly challenged vertically (29 inseam). Also, it is relativley light in weight compared to the current touring offerings. However, power-wise it is a whole 'nother thing. Tons of power, smooth but fast acceleration. The brakes will take some getting used to -they are very strong and feel overly sensitive compare to the old R65. The ergonomics will take some getting used to.
I definitely plan on putting some miles on it this year.
I am keeping the R65, and will still frequent this board.
