My kettle arrived last week:

The stainless steel Trekker arrived last week from Kelly Kettle USA by USPS.
What a hoot!  Brilliant idea.  Don't know who was more excited, me or Mum.  Pretty happy with it, carried out a test boil of local tap water at Mum's this past May long weekend:

Really need a lot of small tinder to get the flames going to burn bigger twigs and small pine cones - and have lots of bits on hand to keep the miniature fire pit going.  Did boil water in 3 to 4 minutes.  Advertised as a .500 L kettle, that's not much water but as a solo rider I'll be the only one using it.  It does hold that amount but will boil out the spout.  The biggest plus for me was I don't have to carry fuel on my bike and it doesn't feel that heavy - under 1 kilo (0.771 g)

I did buy the kit which includes a small (very small) pot with lid, pot holder, grill and pot support that sits at the top of the chimney.
Very cool.

Next step, see what I can cook in the wee little pot   ;)

Could you explain how it works? It doesn't make much sense just looking at it.

I just checked out the website - pretty clever item!

It's got a pot-like base that you start the fire in. Then the chimney sets on top of that. It's a double wall construction that holds water.

Check out the website! http://www.kellykettleusa.com/

This pretty much explains the theory of operation behind the device .
