French bikers are up in arms against a raft of new legislation including banning bikes over 7 years old from Cities !

Do the French even make a motorcycle any longer?

I think only lightweights and scooters like Peugeot.


For us in the UK the concern is that more legislation in a major EU country like France is likely to spread accoss other EU countries.

Keep fingers crossed but usually these extreme legislative proposals get watered down or abandoned in the end. A few years ago lawmakers in Switzerland intended to limited motorcycles to 80 km/h, that's 50 mph. Nothing came of it. These French proposals would also require riders to wear high-vis jackets.
