A while back forgot where , Monte may remember (now we are in trouble) i got an explanation of the history of the Stars and Stripes with a reference to the 12 Colonies, our local paper runs a  "From the Archive" feature, some articles are quite interesting this weeks is an article published in 1943.Quite why they were reflecting on the first invasion of England by the US Pirate John Paul Jones dont know but there you go.But they made a replacement flag for one that was damaged when Leeds museum was bombed
