Any good outlets for affordable steel braided brake hoses? need from MC to junction block & junction block to Ft caliper.             1980 r65 w/high us bars

I just rode my bike to a hydralics supply store & they measured the old ones.
Then made me new SS braided hoses & I was set.
It was much less that any I had found online & I had em on in less time that it took to bleed the lines after I installed em.

It will cost more, but if you can't find a large automotive type store to make some up for you, one can call Bob's BMW in Jessup, Mayland and
they have a local supplier that makes complete kits up for them, which they resell to you.   I called Bob's a little over a year ago and they had them made up
and shipped to me within a couple weeks.   The price was only slightly above OEM rubber hoses at the time.

The cheapest I could find, several years ago, when I put stainless lines on my '95 RT was Moto-Bins.  Their price on stainless was less than the rubber from the dealer - even with the shipping.

In the San Fernando Valley there is Ormay Bros.  They make stainless lines and hoses to fit, much less expensive than dealer charges - 877 676 3277  In Oxnard California there is Galfer USA.  They will make up lines with any fitting you desire, must go through retailer to order from them.  805 988 2900.

OK, After alot of running around I found a company in Ohio, Spiegler. They were nice and sounded very competent ordered 2 hoses for $109 , steel braided custom sizes. They come in colors too. Should get them in a few days. These guys could be a great resource> I'll keep you posted.

I just got a set of Galfer hoses for my 81 with dual disks (3 hose set).  Cost was 105.39 delivered.  I got them from sumofallparts.net but they are available at many other places too.  I have not installed them yet but they look correct (look nice too).

Spiegler has an advertisement in the current issue of the BMW Owners News, they will remove the used worn out rotor from your hub, or carrier, and replace it with another stainless steel rotor, solid, semi or full floating, for $219.

Not a terribly bad price for a replacement rotor.

My husband and I both have the Spiegler braided brake lines and they work great.  Spiegler is a really good company to work with.  We had some problems (bad ordering info) and they were great working with us to get us the correct pieces we needed.
