I'm thankful that the Board of Trustees of our local school district, of which I am an employee and my bride has just recently retired after 32 years, decided to give us the entire week off for the Thanksgiving holiday. [smiley=clap.gif]
Monday, I adjusted the valves on the '81 and did a simple check of fittings; all the while listening to some Texas singer/songwriters the likes of Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen and Max Stalling.
In the afternoon, I confirmed that the Triumph, in fifth of six gears, will go from 80mph to the ton before you can blink. Although it's top heavy, a pig in city traffic and a challenge for inseam-challenged peeps, the bike is a cruise missile on the highway.
Tuesday, today, my wife and I will motor down to Fort Worth on the Trophy and visit Eurosport Cycle. Purveyors they are of Triumph, Ducati, Aprilia, MV Agusta and Moto Guzzi. No reason to go other than the temps are in the low 80s and it's CAVU outside. Actually, SWWBO wants a Turnip T-shirt.
Don't know just yet what Wednesday will hold, but I do know it won't involve real work.
To all our forum members, scattered around the world, here's wishing each the spirit of our American Thanksgiving holiday this coming 25th of November. Hope each and all will find many things to be thankful for, as I am.
