motorcyclists stuck at red lights
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:51:19 AM »
This tidbit from Oklahoma. Perhaps it's a start for us all...

When motorcyclists roll up to a red light, they can end up waiting a long time for the light to change... but that will change with the passage of Senate Bill 1329, which was signed into law Monday by Gov. Brad Henry.

I had real good luck getting the Arizona Highway Department to recalibrate a troublesome light for me .

If I came home late from work and no other traffic was at the light going in my direction, you would sit there until another vehicle showed up .

I would like to see something like this law in Arizona, where it's motorcycle riding season all year long .

Riding all year long since 1993 .
I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

Oh great, Oklahoma beat Texas to the punch once again.  I rather doubt that Governator Goodhair will promote this kind of sensible legislation in the great Lone Star State.  He's too busy cosying up to the illegal immigrant lobby.  Hmmmm, maybe if we all changed our license plates to Mexican then we'd never get stopped by the police???

Isn't there a "device" you can buy to set the lights off when you arrive?

From wiki.  Although this article mentions that the center wire is more sensitive it fails tomention that that is where most of the dropped oil resides.   >:(

And in that vein...the Green Light trigger.

Just a thought....

Most of the new stuff around here is controlled by low-res cameras...
