Anyone got any good links regarding re-covering seats? Mine is coming away and needs a bit of love!

Hey, BooG

Bought my seat cover from this outfit. Good quality and instructions for the DIYer. Be sure to get the proper cover for the tail piece seat on your R65.

And check the R65 dot org Photo Gallery. I have a photo essay on doing the seat recover.

Boo

Your seat is the early one like my 79 right ?

I Put on a new cover from motobins. Although it fitted fine there are differences that would make me go for a better quality one if available:-

Material is thinner than original - only to be expected given the price.

Pattern is different  - much simpler and I think an improvement

No grab strap was provided which is a slight problem as the foam will have taken the shape of the original.

I have used two of the motobins covers and can suggest to not stretch them too tight!  The heat-impressed stitching will start to "rip" when sitting in hot TX sun!  I just put one on the Dawg and this time I just stretched it enough to get the wrinkles out...
