Believe it was our Honorary Texan, Lucky Lou, that fabbed the snow-mobile bike... I think.

We got about nine inches of snow within 24 hours on Thursday here in our village of Denton, Texas. Dallas set a record for most snow in their recorded history within a 24-hour period; again, close to nine inches. TV stations all seem to have their own measurement systems, duh. See a lot of yardsticks and frostbit reporters getting TV face time... I can already hear muted laughter from our Northern members. Let the flaming begin! At least it might warm us up. About 48 degrees right now. Hope this nasty stuff goes down the storm drains.

I took nada, zip, zero photos. Why the h-e-double hockey sticks would I want to be reminded of freezing my keester off? Schools cancelled Thursday and Friday. Monday's a teacher in-service so I've got a five-day weekend. May warm up the shop and play with the Beemers some more.

We got 12 inches last night in Bedrock, Monte.  I didn't want to go out and take any pix either but SWMBO was insiistent.  So I took a few.  Had to work today and we don't get to observe the dead presidents day on Monday like you guys in the public sector.  Someone has to make money to pay the taxes.

red plows. They race to the top of that Mt. every year. They use to have a New Years Day race in the snow. Takes an hr to get to the top from my old driveway in the picture at speed, if you drive like my wife it takes 3. If you guys get a chance to take your R65 to the top it will be worth the ride. coming down it has great views. There's a big foot crossing sign on the way up. I always thought they were up in Oregon.

Lee Harvey, we ain't never had snow like this before!  It's a one day record for this neck of the woods.  All them yankees and other assorted ilk that live in northern climes may think we're making a big deal out of this, but for us it is a big deal.  We don't have to tie up a lot of city money in snow plows because we don't usually need them.  We don't build our houses to withstand a couple of tons of snow because we don''t get it.

For my part, I'm blaming El Nino and Al Gore, the farking bastidge!
