Steve,
It's not completely swallowed up yet.  But there's a better route than 421 to 64, which is now mostly 4-lanes.   [smiley=uhoh2.gif]
You can go south out of the Greensboro BMW store to Hwy 62 and meander thru Liberty on old 421 take a left and follow the Liberty-Silk Hope road over to 87 just north of Pittsboro.  It's much like the old Greensboro Hwy that runs between Chapel Hill and Greensboro.  It's still pretty around Jordan Lake, but it's not two-lane anymore!! There's even a by-pass around Pittsboro.   :-/

Let me know if you ever decide to head over this way.

Will do, Aida, and thanks for the roads update. I kinda figured Cary had eaten at least some of the Jordan Lake area. :'(
I've been meaning to get to Raleigh and check out Capital, and was recently in Wilmington and tried to get by Cape Fear BMW but never did. Want to get to Jacksonville also, to Back Roads Triumph, and check those and the Guzzis out too.
If it doesn't soon turn winter around here, I may declare it "Spring" and hit the road in earnest!!  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
