Seat Rebuilding
« on: August 24, 2018, 05:58:44 AM »
I'm rebuilding my seat - this split plastic tube runs around the lip of the seat to round off the edge where the cover folds over to the underside - does anyone know where I might get something similar thanks

Adrian, sorry I'm a bit late, but the stuff you want is readily available at Jenkins Rubber. If you do not have a branch near you, then Blackwoods, Dunlop IBC or any other seller of "rubber" mouldings will have it.

Hi there – this is off my 1984 R65 - as you can see my seat foam is shot. I know I can probably have one made at my local auto upholsterer but if possible I would like to buy a purpose built one with all the lumps & bumps on the underside of the foam to fit the tray.
.
I already have a new fitted cover with foam underlay & spike strips for holding it all together plus a gel pad to fit to the foam.
.
So if anyone can help I would be very grateful – although I live in South Australia I’m happy to buy from any company around the world - thanks.

Hey Adrian - I just happened to see this last night on ebay.  Looks OEM?  But about $100 USD with shipping  from Getmany for us in the US.

They do have the Make Offer selection though...

You're welcome.  Looks like they had several so no worries there.  Good luck.
