Early square touring cases

Hello guys
I've bought a pair of these Touring cases. The early model without the "integral lock" set of locks.
They came cheap because there is no key for them.
So I need at least one key # 044 (if someone has one sitting around) or replace the locks to upgrade to the "integral lock" solution.
Question : Has anybody done that ? Is it possible ? And if yes, what parts did you use ?

I recently faced the same problem. James Sherlock in the UK has some in stock I believe ( http://www.james-sherlock.co.uk/shop/r45-r50-r60-r65-r75-r80-r90-r100/luggage-647/pannier-catches-and-keys/touring-pannier-key-3121-detail), but the price was a tad high (14 pounds + shipping). I believe I obtained mine from a seller on eBay but cannot find the receipt. From memory they were significantly cheaper.

Motobins sells kits for replacing the locks. Looks like all you need is a rivet tool. Assume you should be careful when drilling out the old rivets.

I went to the trouble of getting an actual key, ultimately got it from Larry Stonestreet at Stoner's Beemer Stash. I expect the shipping to France wouldn't be much.

However: the locks aren't very technically sophisticated. Before getting the proper key I cut and filed a piece of hacksaw blade to fit. All it needs to do is clear the keyway and flick the little lever inside.

James Sherlock sold his last 044 to me.
Once I get it, I'll make a couple to use every day while the original stays at home.
Another option is to upgrade to the newer locks with the same key as the ignition. But it is 23 Euro apiece (six needed) and then you've to buy the set of 6 cylinders ...
