Rear swing arm adjustment

I just noticed that my rear wheel isn’t aligned.  I’m getting some rubbing on the left inside of fender and the tire is very close to the drive shaft.  Anyone have a procedure to do this alignment?

The gap between the swing arm and the frame should be the same.

As far as the tire. Has someone changed it from the 400-18. If so a metric size tire could be closer to the drive shaft side of the swing arm. Don’t know if you can stil get them they had al different size top hat wheel spacer to move the wheel a little to get clearance for the tire.

Hello !
First of all, remove the rear wheel and check if BOTH top hat spacer are in place into the lip seals.
If they are check they are not broken in two part with a too vigourous torquing of the wheel bolt... Sometimes, the inner top hat get stuck on the wheel balancing machine and the operator do not see it ... And the very same man is sometimes very ham fisted... Do not ask how I know that.
So if you have a missing or broken top hat. You will have to order the parts from your beloved dealer and they come in different sizes... So go for the standard and buy an oversize you'll use if you have to mount a bigger tire .... P.S. : there are top hat on the front wheel also ... So check them and maybe use them for a mock-up of the rear...

When the wider 10.7 mm spacer was introduced BMW stated that wheel alignment should be checked and that the maximum permissible offset must not exceed 4mm.  It shouldn't be too much of a problem as the 10.7 mm spacer is only 1.5mm wider than the stock item at 9.2mm.

I had one of the spacers on my bike when i got it
 
It causes the brake shoes to sit out of the drum and the wider tire that it was on there for was a pain to get out of the swing arm

So  I removed it and switched  to 4:00 18 rear tire
