Duro Tires
« on: January 12, 2014, 09:12:46 PM »
Anyone have any experience with these tires?

http://www.durotire.com/tires/tabid/186/categoryid/33/default.aspx

There was some discussion of them on the Vintage BMW boards a year or three ago. Trying to find 'vintage' looking tires for the R45, the R75/5 and an R90/6 that I am refurbishing for a friend.   Not happy with what the more popular tire companies have to offer.

But I'm not going to buy something that I'm going to be afraid to ride on.

Have you checked the Heidenau tires ? They are good (because of modern rubber) and they look classical.
Price is fine too !
Only drawback they are hard so limber up a bit before fitting them !

Just what I was looking for.  I had completely forgotten about Heidenau.

Thanks!!
