no clutch?
« on: July 14, 2007, 02:11:58 PM »
i was playing around a little today. still soing some shake down runs. well i went out for a quick run and on my way back i pulled the clutch in and nothing! the handle went soft. i first thought that i broke my brand new cable, i limped it home and slipped it down in gears by ear. when i got home and started looking i found the cable was still there and attached? i can squeeze the clutch with a finger, so there is like nothing? the book said everything with a clutch or trans requires pulling the trans :-/

any ideas? i am going to get ready to tear it down again and take a peek at the clutch??? i have never had a clutch do this on anything.

ok, thats why i do shake down runs. the adjuster bolt backed out so when i would apply the clutch it wouldnt engage. got that set again with a little purple locktite.

it does, just i didnt have it tight ;D.

i didnt lock it back down tight tight, think that is why it took a little while to back its way out.

Good save Jon. I would sure like to have a T-shirt with your avator on it. I don't know whether it is the boxer or the breasts that attract me most. But I sure like it.
