Does anyone sell a kit for changing the engine oil that has all the gaskets, washers, etc that is worth buying? Any links to websites would be appreciated.

If anyone knows of other kits for changing oil: drive shaft, final shaft or gearbox change let me know of that too. thanks.

Thanks.

Motobins sell oil change kits both pattern part no 01955A and Original part no 01955 that include all gaskets and crush washers. They also have the two part bendy filters if you prefer them.

Excellent. Thank you. I just ordered one. (01955A). The only thing I didn't like about the site is that you have to enter your credit card before you know what shipping will be. I hope it's nothing exorbitant. I noticed they have this "Repair Manual". Has anyone tried it? Anyone have a Pdf version?

I don't have the BMW repair manual but the usual comments made are that being designed for BMW trained Technicians it assumes a certain level of knowledge and therefore doesn't spell some things out. The end result is that while a good reference it may not be as useful as you think.  Someone that has one as well as the usual Haynes and Clymers workshop manuals will chip in.

The riders handbook is surprisingly detailed and useful. I'd recommend getting one if it didn't come with the bike.  We have a PDF verion here http://www.bmwr65.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1271881232

Thanks. I got the owner's manual, but a few times in that book they refer to the "Repair Manual". I have the Haynes manual. I need to research the difference between the Euro Specs and US Specs R65 for my year.
