Carb Leak

Guess which side carb im having a small leak.
Its leaking a fuel-oilish liquid. I ordered the replacement kit from Bing for carbs.
Is there a good sequence guide that you can recommend for bing rebuilds available online?
Its either fix the leak or learn to drive backwards to even both boots out.

Well, if it's oil, the carbs don't need attention .

The crankcase ventilation system on these bikes vents into the airbox .

For what ever reason, the left carb seems to be the one that oil drips out of .

No fault of the carb itself .

Where's it leaking? If it's from the intake tube, Rob nailed it. One thing that can help is to position the screw of the clamp on top or to the side, which helps seal the tube to the carb better. At least it positions the 'open' spot above the oil flow.

If it's gas from the float bowl overflow, the rebuild still isn't needed. that's normally a bit of crud on the float valve seat. Or it can be a float sinking and allowing the fuel to rise too high. Or - the vent tube has been known to corrode through and have a pinhole leak. On that same note, float bowls have also been known to have pinholes that are so small they only seep.

A few members here have given suggestions that have helped them, run the oil level at about half, instead of at the full level .

I tried this method, remove the crankcase breather valve, cut a part of a coarse copper pot scrub pad, place it in the houing, but not so tightly that it blocks off air flow .

But, I think if you reposition  the intake tube clamp, maybe a light 'skin' of sealant where the tube goes into the carb and run less oil volume, your problem should be solved .
