It looks like you are right Bob.  I just checked back on an email I had sent Motobins a year ago about shipping to Canada.  They told me then that VAT would not apply.  So I have emailed them back.

None. The Value Added Tax (VAT) is what our sales tax is. Usually not charged on "out of state" orders. I believe The Colonies are considered out of state.

When you finalize your M'bins order, the last page has all prices, deletes the VAT but shows no shipping costs. Motobins adds that to your tab after they have weighted and packaged the order. It is a bargain to me that my bits can fly the Atlantic so economically.

I've not paid that much for my Motobins timing chain kit and an odd assortment of small stuff. Looked at my records and no VAT, no where, no how.

We're definitely part of the British Commonwealth but not part of the British Empire (That disappeaed sometime before I was born...but then I'm just a young-un).  ;)

I never paid VAT, and I've ordered from them twice.
