Harrison, yesterday I was looking at a R90 race bike; he had the motor installed with the frame tabs above the frame tubes, not below like stock.  It probably put the motor about an inch or so higher than stock for greater ground clearance.  That would probably be a good idea with the R100 in the R65 frame but I don't know what else would be needed to make it work.

Hey ... great minds think alike. In the 3nd bike post in the Chit Chat page I suggested a R100 or R80 motor in an R65 frame ... I like the R65 size!

Like anything to do engineering wise, it is only a money problem.

Well, I've been told the K75 engine-bike is a Photoshop job.

I think the oilhead is real, though.

Wonder if they could photoshop some disk brakes onto that R1100!

I put a R65 front wheel and single-disc brake system on my conversion.

It worked very well.

Under magnification, the K75 engine is definitely a photoshop job, but certainly one worthy of 5th Avenue or Playboy.   The Oilhead is curious, it is either an extraordinarily good photoshop job, or it is genuine..  I can't figure how they've attached the engine to the frame, though.   On the oilhead "frame", it would be attached from above and towards the front at the big Y-arm for the telelever.   How they managed to hide that all so well underneath that R60 or /2 tank - and strengthened the upper part of the frame to take the load, I don't know.

Metallurgical wizadry, indeed !

I think the R1100 is a photoshop job.  Look at the offside drive shaft.  Too small for the 1100.

awaffa2003,

An R100 engine will go into an R65 frame.  However your R100 engine must be a similar age to your R65 gearbox to make things easy.

You will need R100 carbs and exhaust as well, and an R100 final drive.

If you are concerned about ground clearance with the longer cylinders, fit an 19inch snowflake at the front and the slightly longer shocks from the R100 at the back or just up the preload on your existing shocks.

Although I have both an R100 and an R65, I cannot find it in myself to break up either of them.....

Looking at the photos attached, the r1100 has my vote for real.

I can see the engine mounts on the front top of the 1100 engine. The gearbox fills the space appropriately and the shade and light match on both the frame/seat and the engine gearbox.  8-)

The K is another story entirely with bad saturation and artifacts in the engine image and points like engine mounting and wtf the original /2  airfilter? The K75 engine was cut from another pic and pasted over the top of the /2 engine using the header of the exhorst to match up with the original muffler.   It's cute on first glance but a second look soon debunks it. Any way what does the /2 need the abs gubbins behind the engine for on the drums?   ::)

If it is real, I'd like to know how the old drive train handles the 80ish horsepower of the oilhead engine .
