Front Engine Cover

I am the new guy here, having just purchased a 1979 R65.  I would like to check the valve adjustment and timing but have been unable to remove the front engine cover.  All the repair manuals I have, tell me to remove the three cap screws on the cover.  Try as I might,  I have been unable to locate the bottom screw.  The two at the top are no problem.  The mystery screw at the six o'clock position does not seem to exist.

Obviously, I am missing something here.  Any help would be welcome.

There's only two fasteners holding the cover, the bottom has a roll pin the the cover goes over, after removing the two allen head fasteners, there isn't anything else holding the cover on, it may need a little tap from a soft faced hammer to get it loose, if it hasn't been removed in some time .  

Also, remove one of the battery cables from the battery before you remove the front cover, there are 'hot' terminals in there (electrical connections that have power to them all of the time) , and you can inadvertently make contact with them with the cover, and get a 'shower of sparks' .

Heed Bob's good advice! It's the diode board, up near the top of the engine case, that can be shorted out by contact with the front cover.

It's always a good idea to pull the negative lead off the battery or remove the grounding strap at the speedo cable / engine case.
