Let me introduce myself.
I got my 1st. bike at 13 a 70's Yamaha 80 Enduro. Out grew that and didn't replace. FFWD 10 years and picked up an 85' Cagivia Allzura 650. Then a Honda 74' MT 250.In 1998 I was hit by a car totaled that. Immediately picked up 1984 BMW R65LS from a friend. Inherited a 72' Moto Guzzi Eldrado. Everything has always been garage housed.
Lift happened and in 2005 started driving commercial trucks. 55-60 hr work weeks with 34 hrs off for reset. Left that in 2023 and took a job 8-4:30, now I have time to ride.
Enough about me.
Kept the BMW but sold the other 2 bikes.  Let the work begin.
I kept the beemer Odyssey battery on a battery tender for at least 15 years, firing her up and riding some.
Set in to change out all the fluids, that's when I discovered that it needed more. So it needed a complete brake rebuild from the calipers up to the master cylinder. Gee I wonder why 41 years old and everything was original. Rebuilt the calipers, replaced the lines with SS braided lines and the master cylinder replaced and the old one cleaned up and put on a shelf for the future. Break pads and shoes look good.
Now time to replace those 15 year old tires and tubes. Front 90/90/18 and rear 120/90/18 both Avon Mk road riders.
Approaching time to check the valves and change oil. But as we all know these older girls have oil leaks too. That's right the oil pan seal is weeping, that will be replaced with the Real Gaskets as I  did the valve cover and carburetor gaskets years ago.
I'm currently looking for a powder coater for the snowflake wheels satin black.
Living in WNC I have some great roads to ride on. Hopefully I can get more time to ride more than I currently do.

Next up new replaced all the fluids.

Sounds like you have everything under control.  Now, take that bad boy to the Dragon!
