This might seem really obvious, but the R65 lever is different to the longer wheelbase bikes. Also the pegs. When the RH peg is at its lowest, the pedal is too low. It doesn't impove greatly by rotating and raising the peg, and winding in the stop screw. The travel is just enough to make full brake pressure, not drag or hit the exhaust, and not much more.
How to adjust? 4KG copper faced mallet. Two offcuts of railway line and safety glasses.
I wasn't sure if it would bend, snap or otherwise become useless. But it will bend cold, with a few solid hits. No signs of 'giving' for the 20 ish mm of adjustment made.
