NTNOA 2012 Lake O' the Pines Rally
« on: October 08, 2012, 03:16:59 PM »
The North Texas Norton Owners Associations 27th Annual LOP Rally was extended to four days -Thursday thru Sunday- to meet attendees desires for more camping, more twisty riding on those pine tree-lined, East Texas two-lane blacktops and plain ol' gawking at the many and varied motorcycles on display.

Unusually cool and cloudy weather reduced the people count but the bikes were as amazing as ever and in good numbers.

I'll upload photos to my Photobucket album later and post a link. Right now, busy packing for our Thursday, zero-dark-thirty departure and four days at the Barber Vintage Festival at Barber Motorsports Park near Leeds, Alabama.

In the mean time, here's a few snaps of a beautifully restored BMW single-cylinder R35 sidecar rig.

Ab-So-Freakin'-Lutely, John. Just got home from a 4-day adventure at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Just me and an announced attendance on Saturday of 70,000 of my new best friends. AHRMA roadracing, huge swap meet plus the world's largest motorcycle museum. I'm plumb tuckered out.

The camera sez I shot 213 snaps. Jeez, I do love your/my new digi Nikon.

Now need to upload the Lake O' the Pines photos to Photobucket plus the Barber pics before heading out this Friday morning to Luckenbach, Texas, and three days at the annual Harvest Classic vintage rally.

Folks, retirement really IS all it's cracked up to be. [smiley=beerchug.gif]
