« on: June 12, 2011, 10:55:00 AM »
With the flag that is.............
I great ride up the Aire valley then up the A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale and "Devils Bridge" access to some great rides from there
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirkby_Lonsdale
Theres always a good crowd of bikers up there on Sunday mornings and the Bacon sarnies are worth the ride !!!
The guy with the Flag is Trevor who used to have a r65 he now has a very nice early Daytona.
Theres a photo of me on the bridge with Melinas handy work which i am posting to Barry in the morning also a picture of the bridge and the veiw from it.

Simply the stupidest thing....look away now this will make you cringe.
There i am minding my own laying some block paving on my drive when the wife yells "we have a drain blocked round back" so i dutifully went round to have a look and sure enough theres a 4" Drain overflowing, working on the theory that the grandkids had moved the cover and stuck something down it.
[smiley=idea2.gif]So  i stuck my hand in about 18" couldnt feel anything then snagged the back of my hand on the way out taking a great chunk of flesh off the back. So a Friday night trip to A&E (ER) tetanus jab X ray clean up and closure strips...... return visit for antibiotics when the nasty infection set in about 12 hours later...trust me i wont be doing that again [smiley=wall.gif].
Didnt hurt too much riding as long as i kept off the front brake though
but the drain is still blocked  [smiley=drowning.gif]
Forest Gump springs to mind Stupid is etc etc.
