How did Gertie perform. From what I saw on the telly It looked like there must have been a lot of idling and slow speed riding in queues.

Did the plugs clean up OK for you.

We were staying in Wooton Bassett so had a 20 mile ride out to Hullavington all was well until we hit the roundabout at J17 M4 and had to crawl to the check in about 2 miles of stop start and getting hot and bothered, clutch got a bit fierce and at one point i shut the engine off due to the smoke coming off the cylinders.
The actual run was fine mainly due to the police shutting everything off to get us through, there were choke points but nothing more than a couple of minutes so all in all Gertie done good. The plugs seem fine but im using alot less choke.
Its on for next year so if we speak nicely to our American cousins they may send us a flag and more 65ers may turn up hopefully as Gertie was Lonely out there.
Lou
Ps the picture shows the airfield..as we left both runways were full !!!
latest police guesstimate 22000 bikes
