Texas No Frills Rally
« on: March 15, 2010, 05:57:09 PM »
Anyone going to the Texas No Frills Rally in Llano 9-11 April this year?  http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38276

I'm thinking about heading down on Saturday and returning on Sunday.  Scotty, Monte, Burt, Cris, Lee Harvey, Justin, Bueller, Bueller?

Total Travel Estimate:   4 hours 17 minutes   /   239.93 miles

Now to check the local motel scene (I've been told not to camp again for at least 22 more years)...    :D

The no frills rally central is on the river in "downtown" Llano. Picturesque it is. When the organizers say "no frills" they mean it. The good thing is that Cooper's BBQ is just around the corner. And they have restrooms -if the line at the park's three-holer gets a bit long. ::)

Bengt's putting the arm on me to go. He will enjoy a bachelor weekend as SWWBO is outta town. Me? Well, like I said to Mike, "I'm thinking about it." I usually camp close to an ice machine. [smiley=beer.gif] Gots no bag, shelter or gear no more.

The motel across the street from Coopers was cheap and clean and I recall that I could pick up WiFi with my laptop.  But no coffee in the room.
