Ok all.i finaly bought a 87 R65 mono. The bike was located 300 miles away so got it and rode it all the way home. What a nice bike.I was cruisin with 75-80 mph once did 90(did not pay attention) and even then has a room for more. The gas/mileage about 45 mpg.
This is the first time i had a FUN on the bike.I like it more than my R11S and even R11rt.
This bike is the best i ever rode. Now its coming the time to build that dream cafe racer.i decided not to do any engine mods, because i simply like it this way.
here is some pics of the champ :)

It does look extremely clean!  I think that I'd just put an S- style fairing on it painted to match, and maybe some shorter handlebars and see how that looks.

You might want to consider rear-sets, too, although they are NOT a "plug-n-play" option.  Definitely some fabrication required.

Cool web site Rob!  Bookmarked this one...Thanks.

Nice Bike Grimreaper!

Some day when I grow up I want to have a mono.  In about a week I will have half (front) a mono.   8-)

Hey how much fuel does the Mono tank hold????  Will it fit on my 1980 I wonder?

Very, very sweet ride, my friend. First Principle, most definitely:  Do no violence nor harm to this lovely airhead.  I saw one of these for sale once, and wish I had had the presence of mind to snap it up.
I think it's the next logical step in the evolution of a superb Beemer (mine is an '84 twin-shock). I'm guessing there must be very few of these out there.

I'm lusting after an R1100S, (never ridden one) but after what you said, I wonder if I'd really like it, after the nimble LS.  Whaddya think?

That is one fine looking machine. It would look so cool with a Corbin Gunfighter seat.......but even if you do nothing that is one sweet cycle.

Steve, since i bought the R65 my r11s is colecting dust i rode it just once for the last month.I do not know will you like it or not.It has some advantages, but in tight twistie road r65 is the winner. ;)
