The plan was to ride from Denton, Texas, to the new Eagles Canyon Raceway for their scheduled
Motorcycle Open Track Day.
Our group of five riders had three of us on airhead BMWs with the other two riding
rice We arrived at the track about 0745 hours Sunday morning. Gates locked. Well... Who would not want to pay $175.00 to ride around on a 2.5 mile black asphalt track on a forecasted day of 103 degrees while wearing full leathers. Wimps
We headed on south to Decatur, Texas, for breakfast on the square. Situated about thirty miles north of Cow Town, aka Fort Worth, Decatur has a vibrant courthouse square surrounded by shops and eateries. On weekends, it is a biker destination. We beat the crowd. Got home before the heat hit us.
