Any one had experience with the sym wolf...or any other of their scooters and cycles? It's a 150 cc around town cycle.

If it's the line I'm thinking of, it's made in India.

Gotta be a million of 'em running around. Yep, it's an early Honda engine design. Manufacturing rights sold to the sub-continent. Just like the increasingly popular Royal Indianfield thumpers.

I don't think it would be an appropriate match for your sidecar habit. ;D

They've been advertised in the past few Motorcycle Classics magazine that I subscribe to, but haven't seen any reviews of them yet.

Does remind one of the little Hondas from the 70s.

With the exception of the silly heat shield on the silencer I like it. Looks like a proper little motorcycle. 15HP is enough to make a decent commuter bike and it will probably cruise a 60MPH easy enough. CC's is not the only measure of fun you can have on a bike.

This seems to be a favourable write up

I think it's engine displacement might have more to do with that statement than the country of origin.

For only $1000 more, I think I got a better deal with my Honda CBR250R - also built in Taiwan... ::)

SYM made Honda bikes and engines for decades. I've got a Symba, their version of the Supercub. Two riding seasons so far and it's needed nothing but oil changes. I like the Wolf Classic 150 a lot. They have a 250 coming out in the US soon:

Wow, that looks pretty sporty (and not at all retro like their other bikes)!

The 150 looks amazingly like my very first bike, a 1970 Kawasaki Trail Boss, 100cc, 10 speed.  Arrgh, arrgh, arrgh!!  A very fun little bike.  I rode it to work and on weekends hit the trails.  I saw one a Barber's a couple of years ago and  the guy was asking $800!  Twice what I paid for mine.

A friend has had one of these for a year or so. He uses it to commute in our mid-sized town. No freeways. The local dealer is great and readily attended to the few minor adjustments that were required. Can't say how parts and support will be in the long run but it's almost a disposable. The friend loves it. It definitely fills a niche here in the states where, for the most part, the available new street bikes are all behemoths.
