My XT250/350 left forever today, along with all the spares I have accumulated for it over the years.
I realized about a month back that I had not ridden it in almost 15 moths and decided not to renew its registration.
At my motorcycle club meeting yesterday I offered it up as a giveaway to anyone who would actually use it. Once of the club members said that he had been looking for a motorcycle to try and entice his son away from computer games and that starting at the base price of $0 he could tip in the money to fix the things that need doing.
So, the deal was done and he came and collected it this afternoon.
I've had a lot of priceless experiences on that bike, particularly when I was busy exploring all the old mining fields a couple of decades back, but I could see no point in keeping it and allowing it to decay under my house.
