Hurricane Irma
« on: September 05, 2017, 06:44:33 PM »
Looks like the strongest hurricane to ever form in the Atlantic ocean, at least at this point in time, has it's sight's set on Florida .

I think we have one member here that lives in the general area, marcmax, he's just north of Jacksonville, on the Florida / Georgia border .

I think I would be quite anxious, if I were in the anticipated path of this storm . :o

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

I'm heading for the hills, mountains of north GA. If I have a house when I get back fine, if not that's what homeowners and flood insurance is for.

Probably head out Wed or Thur. It won't be fun because roads are already getting full of people from So FL leaving town.

I hope all our affected members are safe, possessions can be replaced, lives matter most of all.

Hear hear Tony, look after one another and yourselves to all our members having these anxious times especially in the path.  Like Tony and marcmax said, unlike lives possessions come again.

On a TV shot the other day I saw an old Model T in the traffic jam headin' north.  Now, that's a die-hard gearhead - but I don't blame him!
